Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and applying hull design, including hull outfit and know-how on marine and offshore vessels, to comply with Class and Technical specification requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and apply hull design, including hull outfit and know-how on marine and offshore vessels.
  • Perform concept and basic/detail design adopting relevant and up to date technologies.
  • Perform FE analysis using FEMAP.
  • Perform naval architecture calculations such as stability/hydrostatic, weight distribution, launching.
  • Generate basic & detail design document (arrangement & detail structure drawings and outfitting drawing and etc.) in compliance with Class/Statutory/Owner requirement.
  • Perform structural calculation, rudder calculation and design.
  • Generate technical specification for marine/machinery equipment.
  • Perform technical evaluation of hull outfitting equipment such as deck cranes, winches etc.
  • Prepare detailed compartment layouts, space coordination and integration with other disciplines.
  • Liaise with other inter-discipline designers for design integration.
  • Liaise with Owner/Vendor/External Design Institute for the specific design requirement and development.
  • Liaise with Class Society to determine the design requirement.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in the marine/offshore industry Hull & Outfitting newbuilding engineering design.
  • Familiar on Structural Hull & Outfitting design.
  • Familiar with Rules and Regulation and Statutory Requirements.
  • Familiar with AutoCAD/ MS Office/ AVEVA.
