Job Title: Genetic Counsellor

We are seeking a highly skilled Genetic Counsellor to join our team at KK Women's and Children's Hospital Pte. Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing genetic information and support to patients and their families, as well as coordinating research projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough intake of patient information, construct a complete pedigree, and obtain relevant medical histories.
  • Apply genetic knowledge to effectively communicate complex information to patients and healthcare teams.
  • Identify family dynamics and emotional responses to provide empathetic support.
  • Provide patients with information on genetic testing, disease management, and prevention options.
  • Coordinate genetic testing, including liaison with laboratories and discussion of results with patients.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Genetic Counselling or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in counselling and proficiency in IT.
