Job Role: IT Infrastructure Professional
Key Responsibilities:- Design, implement, and manage internal and customer-facing servers, network devices, and firewalls to ensure seamless communication and data transfer.
- Perform proactive maintenance on server, network, and firewall systems to guarantee optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Administer and support core Microsoft, Cisco, Citrix, and VMware technologies to facilitate efficient IT operations.
- Develop and execute project plans, risk assessments, and contingency plans to ensure successful project execution and meet business objectives.
- Establish and monitor effective monitoring, configuration management, and reporting functions to create a hands-off environment and reduce manual intervention.
- Define and document best practices and support procedures, and mentor/cross-train team members on existing and new technologies to promote knowledge sharing and skill development.
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred.
- Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of Windows Server, managing deployments/rollouts, large-scale Citrix/Terminal Server installations, server virtualization technologies like VMWare Server/ESX or Microsoft HyperV/Virtual Server, LAN/WAN networking, Cisco Certified Network Associate or Professional - CCNA/CCNP MCITP Server, Group Policy design and configuration, Microsoft IIS administration and configuration, migration of Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010, Active Directory/LDAP user and group administration.
- Priorities: Ability to troubleshoot network issues including backbone infrastructure issues, LAN Routing and Switching design, configuration, and troubleshooting (VLANs, IP Subnetting, 802.1Q trunks), strong communication and documentation skills, flexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment, organized with the ability to manage projects of varying length, positive, self-motivated individual who can complete tasks independently.
