Pharmacy Technician Job Description

This is a role that involves dispensing medication to patients with precision and care, managing central inventory of cardiovascular drugs, coordinating inter-clinic transfers of medications, maintaining up-to-date lists of key pharmaceutical contacts, providing regular updates to directors on medication purchases, conducting monthly reporting on stock movement and purchases accurately, collaborating with the nursing team to oversee drug stock take and discrepancies, and maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Dispensing medication to patients with precision and care.
  • Managing central inventory of cardiovascular drugs including drug ordering, receiving, and stocking of medications and supplies.
  • Coordinating inter-clinic transfers of medications and managing requests from other clinic locations effectively.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date list of key pharmaceutical contacts and reviewing bonus tier schemes regularly.
  • Providing regular updates to directors on medication purchases and conducting monthly reporting on stock movement and purchases accurately.
  • Collaborating with the nursing team to oversee drug stock take and discrepancies.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant work environment at all times.

The ideal candidate will possess relevant working experience and a Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent qualification. They will also need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines, and strong organizational and time management skills.
