Automation Systems Specialist

We are seeking an Automation Systems Specialist to join our team.
- Responsible for designing, developing and implementing automation control solutions.
- Plan and coordinate automation projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion within predetermined timelines.
- Conduct system setup, testing, simulation, validation and troubleshoot issues onsite.
- Collaborate with clients, vendors and project teams to ensure seamless implementation of automation systems.
- Provide technical support to maintenance teams to resolve automation issues.
- Participate in systems modernization work.
- Effectively manage time and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Generate regular reports on automation project progress.
- Communicate project status updates to stakeholders and management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills and teamwork abilities to work with engineers, project managers and clients.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in Beckhoff PLC structure text programming is preferred.
- Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels.
- Ability to plan and execute projects to ensure automation projects are completed within timelines.
- Knowledge in electrical system design and troubleshooting is an advantage.
- Knowledge in computer networking and control system design.
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus RTU/TCP, EtherCat, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, RS422, RS485, LonWorks, OPC UA and MQTT.
- Experience in testing and commissioning is an advantage.
- Preferred 3-5 years' experience in the control automation industry.
- Able to work in a construction environment.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proven computer skills in the use of MS Office Suite.
