Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Tax Manager to join our growing finance team in Singapore, serving our APAC operations. As a key member of our commercially-minded Global Tax team, you will play a critical role in ensuring our tax affairs are efficient, transparently compliant, and slick, enabling our mission to be sustainable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the outsourced preparation of APAC corporate tax and withholding tax computations for multiple countries, including Australia, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Philippines, and Thailand.
  • Assist with the preparation of IFRS half-year and year-end tax reporting and tax provisions for local statutory accounts and group reporting, working closely with financial controllers, accounting, and finance system teams.
  • Support the Regional lead on ad-hoc research and projects, including expansion into new countries and liaising with external advisors to ensure tax requirements are met.
  • Engage in team-wide initiatives, including budgeting, forecasting, planning, risks, and controls, and contribute to the development of tax strategies and policies.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-4 years of practical experience in tax or accounting, with a solid understanding of IFRS and core accounting principles.
  • Experience in managing large volumes of data and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Independent self-starter with excellent communication skills and a detail-oriented approach.
  • Desirable qualifications include a finance or accounting degree, practical experience of direct taxes in an in-house environment, and professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, CTA, or CPA.
