Principal Instrumentation Specialist

The Senior Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering instrumentation engineering packages for offshore oil & gas projects. The role involves ensuring technical integrity, compliance with project requirements, and timely delivery of instrumentation outputs.
Key Responsibilities include supporting the Lead Instrumentation Engineer on assigned projects, reporting to the Head of Instrumentation Engineering on discipline matters, implementing company processes and quality policies, and ensuring project activities adhere to scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
The Senior Engineer will prepare and deliver field instrumentation documentation, including instrument design basis and metering philosophy, specifications and datasheets for control valves, safety valves, choke valves, on/off valves, field instruments, and analyzers, and technical bid evaluation reports.
The role also involves reviewing and approving vendor documentation for instrumentation and mechanical/electrical packages, providing technical support for approvals from classification societies, verification bodies, and regulatory authorities, and ensuring compliance with QHSE standards and internal control procedures.
In addition, the Senior Engineer will participate in vendor evaluations and workshops, review related reports, and continuously seek improvements in project cost, schedule, and deliverables.
