Job Title: Locum Pharmacist

About the Role:

  1. We are seeking an experienced and skilled locum pharmacist to join our team.
  2. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing patient medication charts or prescriptions, ensuring appropriateness of prescribed drugs.
  3. Fulfilling drug orders accurately and in a timely manner is crucial for this role.
  4. The pharmacists must ensure all related costs and revenue are accounted for and recovered.
  5. Dispensing medications, explaining indications and instructions for administration is a key responsibility.
  6. The ideal candidate will provide drug information and lectures to healthcare professionals.
  7. Leadership skills are required to delegate, oversee, and review subordinate work.
  8. Ensuring sales and supply of medicinal products comply with legal requirements is essential.
  9. Maintaining records of drug receipt, supply, storage, and distribution as required by hospital and/or legal authorities is vital.
  10. Representing the department in clinical committees and performing job-related duties as assigned is expected.
  11. Reviewing pharmacy procedures and policies periodically to improve workflow is a key objective.
  12. The successful candidate will supervise subordinate performance, conduct appraisals, write reports, and make recommendations for confirmation, promotion, and training needs.
  13. Participating in Pharmacy education and development programmes is necessary for growth.
  14. Staying up-to-date with journals and publications for professional advancement is crucial.
  15. Implementing and adhering to established policies, practices, and regulations pertaining to pharmacy is essential.
  16. Providing training to pre-registration pharmacists and trainees is a key responsibility.
  17. Supporting the hospital by participating in various activities, including QC, community projects, staff welfare, and recreational activities is expected.
