Job Title: Financial Operations and Asset Manager

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to oversee key financial operations and fixed asset management functions within our organization.

This critical role involves coordination across multiple stakeholders, ensuring compliance with public sector requirements, and maintaining accurate and timely financial and asset records.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Review of user access to ensure proper controls and governance are in place
  • Serve as the Payment Approving Officer for disbursements under schemes such as witness allowances and legal assistance programmes
  • Act as the champion for e-invoicing processes
  • Support audit processes for fixed assets and development projects and respond to auditor queries
  • Collaborate with asset managers, custodians, and outsourced asset management service providers to oversee asset recording, capitalisation, assignment, and disposal throughout the asset lifecycle
  • Perform periodic reviews of fixed assets to verify accurate recording and maintenance in the Asset Management System (AMS)
  • Conduct periodic reconciliation of fixed assets records between and AMS to ensure accuracy
  • Support budget reviews for selected divisions, especially those with capital or project development allocations

Requirements:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a relevant discipline
  • At least 3–5 years of experience, including experience in public sector finance, asset management, or budgeting
  • Familiarity with asset management systems and financial reporting tools such as and AMS
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional coordination and stakeholder engagement
  • Good analytical skills, with attention to detail, and ability to uphold data integrity in reconciliations and reporting
  • Proven ability to manage projects and lead initiatives independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
