Conventional Machining Lead

About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Conventional Machining Lead at NTU. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily activities of our laboratory. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the efficient operation of our machinery and equipment, while maintaining a high level of safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise undergraduates and postgraduates on conduct of risk assessments and other SOPs requirements under the workplace, safety, and health management system;
  • Maintain lab equipment and ensure it is properly accounted for;
  • Coordinate the procurement of lab supplies and equipment through Ariba;
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve lab operations.

Requirements

  • At least a degree in relevant engineering disciplines such as mechanical or precision engineering;
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in operating conventional machining;
  • Familiarity with laboratory operations management in IHL settings, preferred but not compulsory;
  • Knowledge in ISO45001, Risk Management, WSH requirements, and other regulatory requirements;
  • Proficiency in SAP Ariba, IBM Workday, and Office 365 suites.
