Corporate Transaction Specialist

This role is ideal for a professional with experience in corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions. Your primary focus will be on conducting thorough research on relevant laws and regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting in-depth research on tax laws, exchange control regulations, corporate laws, securities laws, and stamp duty laws.
  • Identifying suitable solutions for clients by gathering necessary information and documents.
  • Evaluating key commercial objectives and assessing tax and regulatory implications.
  • Seeking feedback from clients and documenting advice effectively through slide decks, notes, or emails.

Additionally, you will assist clients with ancillary aspects like valuations and due diligences, manage communications with various stakeholders, and ensure timely billing and fee collections.

Responsibilities also include developing and strengthening client relationships, exploring opportunities to serve existing clients more effectively, identifying potential new clients, and supporting business development efforts.

Required skills include a solid understanding of relevant laws and regulations, such as the Income-tax Act, SEBI regulations, FEMA regulations, Indian company law, and Stamp duty laws.

A results-oriented approach with a focus on quality, attention to detail, and accuracy is crucial.

Other essential skills include efficient team management, innovative thinking, excellent number-crunching skills, effective communication, and a proactive attitude to deliver value to clients.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions.
  • Strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage team members.
