Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Special Education Coach to join our team. As a Special Education Coach, you will be responsible for assessing students' skills, developing personalized teaching plans, and adapting lessons to meet the unique needs of each student.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students' skills to determine their needs and develop tailored teaching plans.
- Adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for each student.
- Plan, organize, and assign activities specific to each student's abilities.
- Teach and mentor students individually, in small groups, and as a class.
- Implement IEPs, assess students' performance, and track their progress.
- Update IEPs throughout the school year to reflect students' progress and goals.
- Discuss students' progress with parents, teachers, counselors, and administrators.
- Supervise and mentor teacher assistants working with students with disabilities.
- Assist students in transitioning from grade to grade and after graduation.
Requirements:
A relevant certificate and experience as a Special Education Teacher are required. Good knowledge of current special education topics and methodologies is essential. Experience working with children with a wide range of disabilities is highly valued.
