Mechanical Integrity Specialist - Crane Inspector Role Overview


Job Summary:
This role focuses on maintaining the structural soundness of crane systems, including quay cranes, yard cranes, and lifting equipment. The successful candidate will conduct thorough Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspections, examining, interpreting, evaluating, and recording test results to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:
We're seeking a highly skilled professional with experience in NDT works, capable of performing magnetic particle testing and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Key responsibilities include:
  • Conducting regular NDT inspections to verify crane integrity
  • Examining, interpreting, evaluating, and recording test results to identify potential issues or defects

Required Skills & Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess a higher NITEC / NITEC in Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification. A minimum of 3 years' experience in NDT works is also required, along with an NDT Level 2 Certificate in Magnetic Particle Testing. Additionally, having an NDT Level 2 Certificate in Ultrasonic Testing and Liquid Penetrant Testing or welding experience is desirable.

Preferred Skills:
A strong background in hydraulics, preventive maintenance, ultrasonic testing, troubleshooting, electrical, reliability, assembly, NDT, mechanical engineering, calibration, and other related fields is preferred for this position.
