About the Role

Arup is a global firm of designers, planners, engineers, architects, consultants and technical specialists, working across all industry sectors. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our MEP team in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide design input into projects, particularly in the Electrical Services area, to ensure successful project delivery and the ongoing development of the team's effective project management and technical capability.
  • Contribute to the strategic development of the MEP business, including positioning the business within the local marketplace, business plan development and evaluation, and the ongoing development of associated skills and procedures.
  • Undertake technical reviews of MEP projects at appropriate stages to ensure that the project approach and deliverables are met.
  • Assist in capability building of the Electrical team to effectively service the target markets in Singapore as set out by the Group business plan.
  • Facilitate and co-ordinate design activities, processes and other technical standards within the MEP team, including the review and monitoring of technical standards in the team to ensure that design techniques, design review and check, reference material and software tools are up-to-date and are correctly applied.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with industry networks, clients, government agencies, sub-consultants, and construction contractors relevant to the MEP team's activities.

About You

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering from a university recognized by the Singapore PEB.
  • At least 10 years of relevant Electrical design experience with an engineering consultancy and a demonstrated track record of delivering complex electrical services projects across teams within budgets and programme expectations.
  • Singapore PE or Chartered Engineer license.
  • Ability to remain positively motivated and foster team spirit at times of significant pressure, including assisting others to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to design and deliver solutions on projects and on site.
