Job Title:

Environmental Management Specialist

 

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Management Specialist to implement and monitor environmental management systems, ensuring compliance with occupational health and environmental regulations.

 

The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of on-site experience in a related field, with a strong background in environmental science, sustainability, and erosion control. Certified ECO or ECMO is required.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Implementing and monitoring environmental management systems to ensure compliance with occupational health and environmental regulations.
  • Ensuring all site facilities and sanitary provisions are properly maintained to prevent environmental health risks.
  • Conducting inspections to ensure environmental management systems facilities and equipment are functioning effectively and do not pose hazards.
  • Attending to feedback on environmental health irregularities and coordinating remedial actions with the Project Manager.
  • Measuring, monitoring, and reviewing Work Safety and Health (WSH) performance; presenting findings at WSH Committee meetings.
  • Organizing campaigns, training, and awareness programmes to promote high environmental health standards.
