We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our project team. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in developing and maintaining Spark applications for data ingestion, transformation, and processing on Hadoop clusters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop scalable Spark jobs using PySpark/Scala for efficient data processing.
  • Work with HDFS, Hive, Sqoop, and other Hadoop ecosystem tools to ensure seamless data flow.
  • Optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues to maintain high-quality data.
  • Collaborate with business and technology teams to design and implement data solutions that meet business needs.
Requirements:
  • Strong programming skills in PySpark/Scala, with hands-on experience in Hadoop ecosystem tools.
  • SQL proficiency for data extraction and validation.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments, with ability to work independently.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
  • Prior experience in banking or financial services projects, with knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Broad understanding of big data concepts, including data warehousing and ETL processes.
