Job Overview

The role of a Prime Mover Driver involves the safe and efficient transportation of goods from one location to another. The driver is responsible for ensuring that all daily delivery orders are fulfilled according to the schedule given, and any delays in fulfillment must be communicated back to the Traffic Controller.

The driver will also be responsible for verifying, submitting, and ensuring that all delivery orders are completed with clean POD (Proof Of Delivery). Additionally, the driver must maintain high standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security in the work environment.

The Prime Mover Driver will ensure that trucks/equipment are checked daily for road worthiness before operating and carry out regular cleaning and basic maintenance for the assigned vehicle.

The driver will be responsible for strictly driving a truck and managing equipment under the authorized classification of vehicle operations allowed under the regulatory authority.

To ensure safe driving practices and productive contribution to expeditious job completion, the driver must display teamwork within the team to ensure productivity targets/KPIs are met.

The Prime Mover Driver will ensure daily delivery accident-free with no vehicle breakdown. They will manage the daily delivery through monitoring of vehicle condition and delivery assistant health status.

The driver will assess the load and prepare trucks for loading and ensure proper stacking and lashing to prevent falling or getting loose during the delivery trip.

For One-Man-Operations (OMO), the driver is solely responsible for the job execution and manual cargo handling management.

The Prime Mover Driver will assist the Traffic Controller in investigation and completion of CAPA reports.

They will carry out delivery activities as per SOPs, flow processes, WIs, and feedback provided.

Requirements
  • Possess a valid Singapore Class 4 or 5 driving license
  • Minimum 2 years similar class driving experience with a clean driving record
  • Experience in route planning and distribution operations
  • Good awareness, familiar, and hands-on experience in various modes of transportation and cargo handling techniques in the Logistics Industry
