They will also possess excellent skills with relevant cost estimation software, AUTOCAD, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Cost Estimation: Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for MEP components.
  • Tendering and Procurement: Assist in the tendering process, evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure competitive pricing.
  • Contract Administration: Administer contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, review terms and conditions, variations, and claims.
  • Valuations and Payments: Evaluate the value of completed MEP works, prepare interim and final valuations, and review subcontractor payment claims.
  • Change Management: Manage variations and changes to the scope of MEP works, assess their impact on project costs.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and uncertainties associated with MEP works and develop mitigation strategies.
