Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Field Operations Specialist to join our client in Singapore. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering, particularly in the context of Remote Operating Vehicles (ROVs). The ideal candidate will have expertise in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting ROVs for underwater operations, with a focus on delivering high-quality results efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and improve operational efficiency by optimizing resource allocation and ensuring systems are stable before job mobilization, adhering to approved specifications and procedures.
  • Ensure team members comply with the company's safety management system and standard operating procedures, promoting a culture of accountability and responsibility.
  • Perform regular maintenance and repairs, maintaining accurate records of technical procedures, system databases, and non-conformity reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational performance, fostering open communication and knowledge sharing.
  • Analyze and resolve complex technical issues during operations, applying analytical skills to identify root causes and recommend optimal solutions.
  • Maintain detailed logs and reports on ROV activities, providing valuable insights for process improvement.
  • Support training and mentoring of junior engineers, contributing to their growth and development.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in ROV technology, applying new knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Work closely with the Technical Manager to monitor and enhance ROV performance, as well as overall company operations.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analyses to identify problems and recommend effective solutions.
  • Provide technical expertise during relevant discussions with other departments, including R&D, and perform additional tasks assigned by senior management.

Requirements
  • A degree in Marine Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical or a related field is required.
  • Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of experience in field service, preferably with offshore exposure.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling (SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD) or programming (Python, C++, MATLAB) is preferred but not essential.
  • Fluent English language skills, both written and verbal, are necessary.

Estimated Salary Range: SGD 6,500 - 9,000 per month.
