  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with ship agents, local ship chandlers, and suppliers to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
  • Monitor and control costs, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and process invoices for payment.
  • Handle daily purchasing-related tasks to guarantee the prompt and safe delivery of requisitions placed by the vessel.
  • Respond to requests made by boats in Oracle Supply Chain, our procurement module.
  • Communicate with category leads regarding delivery and pricing.
  • Ensure the objective of operating vessels in a timely, safe, and cost-effective manner is met, in compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Examine and evaluate requests in accordance with stakeholder requirements.
  • Respect applicable frame agreements and the vessel's pre-selected costs.
  • Issue purchase orders (POs) with all necessary information, including agent details and ETB.
  • Verify supplier order confirmations.
  • Check-in regarding delivery two days prior to ETB.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of any school with a minimum of one to three years of relevant work experience in procurement, preferably in the ship management sector.
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience in procurement, preferably in the ship management industry, and an IVE or diploma from any faculty.
  • Proficiency in using sophisticated procurement systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, as well as the ability for all forms of communication.
  • High level of stress tolerance, ability to manage multiple activities in constrained time periods in an organized way, and attention to detail.
  • Strong and confident personality.
  • New graduates will also be considered.
  • English proficiency is a requirement.
