Pilates Instructor Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Pilates Instructor to deliver engaging, effective workouts to our Mandarin-speaking clients. The ideal candidate will create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive studio environment where clients feel empowered to improve their health and wellbeing through movement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Pilates classes in private, semi-private, or group settings, focusing on client-specific needs and goals.
  • Lead introductory private sessions for new clients, assessing their fitness levels, physical conditions, and objectives, and providing tailored program recommendations.
  • Instruct and monitor clients in the safe and effective use of Pilates equipment, such as Reformer, Cadillac, and Chair, promoting proper form and technique.
  • Assess individual client fitness levels, physical conditions, and goals, adapting exercises, techniques, and breathing patterns accordingly, and tracking progress over time.
  • Help clients develop core strength, lung capacity, coordination, posture, balance, and overall physical wellbeing through customized Pilates programs.
  • Promote client retention by encouraging membership renewals and upgrades, offering personalized services and support to enhance the client experience.
  • Cross-sell other studio services and wellness products, recommending relevant programs and products based on client interests and goals.
  • Maintain a clean and professional studio environment, adhering to high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Stay current with certifications and industry best practices, attending workshops and training sessions to stay up-to-date on the latest Pilates techniques and methodologies.
  • Assist in planning and conducting workshops for clients and internal training, developing educational content and leading instructor-led sessions.

Requirements:

  • Certified Pilates Instructor from an internationally recognized institution, with a strong foundation in Pilates principles and methodology.
  • Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in Pilates, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality instruction and achieving client results.
  • Trained to work with a variety of clients, including those with special conditions or injuries, requiring adaptability and creativity in instruction.
  • Proficient and fluent in Mandarin, including the ability to teach technical and anatomical Pilates terminology in Mandarin, and communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking clients.
  • Ability to commit to a minimum of 100 to 130 teaching hours per month, maintaining a consistent schedule and meeting client demand.
