We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Corporate Legal Specialist to join our team at CHINA AVIATION OIL (SINGAPORE) CORPORATION LTD.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a senior legal professional to lead and manage complex legal projects, providing strategic advice and support to our business operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, as well as providing legal support to associated companies.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate law, with experience in contract management, dispute resolution, and knowledge sharing. A proven track record of working in a fast-paced environment, with excellent communication and analytical skills, is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts, including charter-party agreements, storage leases, and supply agreements;
- Providing legal support to associated companies, including review of legal documents, board resolutions, and shareholders' resolutions;
- Assisting in the review of investment-related transactional documents, including non-disclosure agreements and joint venture agreements;
- Managing legal disputes, including demurrage-related disputes, and drafting relevant reports to management;
- Planning, organising, and coordinating legal knowledge/information sharing sessions for all personnel.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A recognised degree in law, preferably admitted to the Singapore Bar or a common law jurisdiction;
- At least 3 years post-qualifying experience in an established law firm or general corporate and commercial work in a corporation;
- Excellent people skills and communication skills;
- Strong attention to details and effective analytical skills;
- Good ethics and professional conduct, and a strong sense of responsibility and teamwork spirit;
- Good organisational, time management skills and stress tolerance with proven ability to deal with multiple priorities;
- Excellent command of the English language, with fluency in Chinese also desired.
We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $120,000 per annum, plus benefits such as medical insurance, retirement plan, and annual leave.
