Electrical and Instrumentation Project Specialist

The successful candidate will manage multiple electrical and instrumentation projects, overseeing the design, installation, and review of systems such as transformers, switchgears, MCCs, VSDs, motors, analyzers, and instrumentation. This position involves project management, leading engineering design and plant modification reviews, applying structured project execution methods, and preparing cost estimates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Oversee multiple electrical and instrumentation projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and within budget.
  • Lead Engineering Design and Plant Modification Reviews: Conduct thorough reviews of engineering designs and plant modifications to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Apply Structured Project Execution Methods: Utilize CPMS/MFO and VIPs for effective project execution, ensuring adherence to Chevron's standards and best practices.
  • Prepare Cost Estimates: Develop accurate cost estimates for projects, including tender documents and contractor bids evaluation.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in managing projects in petrochemical industries, with a strong background in electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Excellent teamwork and initiative skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
International Considerations:

The selected candidate will work in Singapore under the local payroll system and benefits. Chevron participates in E-Verify in certain locations as required by law.
