Job Title: Communications Specialist

At the Meteorological Service Singapore, you will be part of a dynamic team that manages international cooperation and engages the public through outreach and publicity efforts. As a Communications Specialist, your primary role will be to drive publicity/marketing, communications, and event management efforts of the organisation.

Responsibilities include:
• Initiating and managing public communications initiatives aimed at educating members of the public about the work of MSS
• Supporting the coordination of local, regional, and international events such as school visits and regional/international events hosted by MSS
• Supporting MSS divisions on the production of publications such as newsletters
• Working with divisions in MSS to generate multimedia content intended for various online platforms such as social media
• Ensuring a coherent and consistent communications effort within MSS
• Managing public feedback channels for MSS and ensuring timely responses to queries and feedback

Requirements:
• At least 4 years of relevant work experience in marketing communications, engagement, and event management
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an eye for detail
• Strong management and organisational skills
• Ability to multi-task well and possess a sense of urgency
• Commitment to high standard of service delivery
