Job Description:

The role of Senior Legal Counsel will involve working closely with various teams and leadership across the Asia Pacific region to drive key energy, utilities, green power and green energy transition workstreams. This includes advising on and shaping new initiatives, strategies and processes being developed across the energy, energy transition, renewables and utilities space to enable the rapid expansion of data centre developments across APJ.

  • You will be responsible for reviewing and negotiating legal contracts, and providing practical, commercial and strategic legal advice on a range of energy and utility workstreams across APJ.
  • Collaborate across different teams and support the Energy and Climate teams to implement new or improve on existing commercial arrangements and contractual frameworks and policies to support rapid expansion of data centre developments through APJ.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A law degree from an accredited law school, and current practising certificate (if required in your jurisdiction).
  • Minimum of 8 years of energy, utilities and renewables experience gained from a reputable law firm and/or within an in-house environment.
  • Experience in advising across a broad range of energy and utilities-related areas, including renewables, green power, energy transition, power connection, retail electricity, water supply (potable and recycled).
  • Experience in advising on large infrastructure projects across Asia Pacific & Japan highly regarded.
