Trading Systems Engineer Position OverviewThe Trading Systems Engineer will be responsible for providing high performance, mission critical support for our proprietary trading systems. This role involves maintaining a healthy trading environment and providing on-the-floor technical support.The ideal candidate will work closely with traders, researchers, and developers to ensure maximum trading profitability by contributing to scalable, efficient, performant, clean systems and well-defined workflows.Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a healthy trading environment
  • Provide on-the-floor technical support
  • Work closely with traders, researchers, and developers to optimize trading systems
Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of experience in trade support, site reliability engineering or related fields
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field, preferably computer engineering
  • Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and common network troubleshooting tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Thrives in high-pressure situations while working alongside traders, developers, and other engineering teams
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments
  • Knowledge of database usage (SQL, NoSQL, Postgres)
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation tasks
  • Experience with Distributed Systems
  • Strong understanding of modern DevOps and CICD
  • Experience with using and/or building Restful web services
