Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and review mechanical works designs, including piping and equipment drawings, calculations, and data sheets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve clashes, penetrations, and other technical issues.
  • Develop project schedules and coordinate mechanical works to ensure timely completion.
  • Supervise the delivery, installation, and testing of mechanical works, including FAT and commissioning.
  • Handle and resolve site technical matters, including subcontractor design and submission.
  • Prepare and review relevant checklists for installation and testing and commissioning works.
  • Collaborate with project team members to ensure project requirements are met and schedules are adhered to.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders, clients, consultants, vendors, and contractors.
  • Ensure client approval and acceptance of mechanical works-related design, installation, and testing and commissioning works.
Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in the construction industry, with experience in water or wastewater industry being an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Auto CAD, mechanical, and structure drawings, as well as Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in design, installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical works, including pipings and pumps.
  • Experience in project execution, coordination, supervision, and coordination with subcontractors, consultants, and clients.
  • Good technical knowledge of mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in BIM software, including Bentley and Navisworks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work under tight deadlines and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Will be required to work full-time on project sites.
