Job Overview

Quality and Safety in Clinical Nursing

Deliver consistent and exceptional clinical and service quality to residents and stakeholders. Ensure the clinical quality of all residents is maintained, adhering to the established 4 Zeros clinical indicators – Zero Falls, Zero Medication Errors, Zero Nursing Home Acquired Pressure Ulcers, and Zero Nursing Home Acquired Infections.

Clinical Responsibilities

Guarantee the safe provision of care and clinical decisions for all residents. Administer clinical care and nursing procedures, including thorough assessments of residents, medication administration, injections, complex wound care, and vital signs monitoring. Oversee the ordering, packaging, and preparation of daily medications for all residents. Maintain accurate and comprehensive nursing documentation for residents to comply with regulatory requirements.

Supervision and Training

Facilitate adequate supervision of all staff in fulfilling their duties in accordance with the Enhanced Nursing Home Standards (ENHS) guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Provide clinical oversight to newly recruited staff nurses, enrolled nurses, and junior staff, ensuring adherence to SOPs.

Resident Engagement

Organize and implement daily activities for residents while maintaining an accurate logbook. Collaborate with the Physiotherapist/Therapist Assistant in rehabilitation programs and encourage resident participation.

Resource Management

Assist in the effective management of food costs by minimizing waste and monitoring the efficient use of consumables and supplies. Ensure proper inventory control through regular inspections.

Medical Collaboration

Work closely with the Medical Doctor to review treatment plans and management of residents' conditions.

Feedback and Complaint Resolution

Assist in investigating and resolving feedback and complaints received from relevant centers.

Additional Responsibilities

Undertake any other responsibilities assigned by Senior Nurse Manager/Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager/Senior Staff Nurses. Act as a liaison with hospitals and residents' sponsors regarding daily medical appointments. Support the maintenance of cleanliness in resident care areas. Assume responsibilities in the absence of Senior Clinical Manager/Senior Nurse Manager/Clinical Manager/Nurse Manager/Assistant Clinical Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager/Senior Staff Nurses. Keep an accurate logbook of daily activities in the center. Maintain effective communication with residents and sponsors.

Required Qualifications

Locally Trained: Degree or Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Nursing with a valid license. SNB certification is an added advantage. Foreign Trained: Degree or Diploma in Nursing with Professional Regulation Council Board Pass. State Registered Nurse with a valid practicing license issued by the relevant authority. Valid certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS). A minimum of 2-3 years of post-registration experience, with experience in geriatric care settings being advantageous.
