Risk Assessment Specialist

A senior analyst in catastrophe management is a professional who works with data and models to understand and mitigate the impact of natural disasters on businesses and communities.
Responsibilities:- Data auditing, formatting, and compilation of insurance risk portfolios for catastrophe management using various software platforms (MS Access, MS Excel, SQL)
- Catastrophe modelling analysis using internal and externally licensed catastrophe models
- Interpretation, testing, and evaluation of catastrophe model results
- Application and communication of catastrophe modelling results for reinsurance design, pricing, and placement
- Liaising with clients and colleagues to establish client project objectives, outcomes, and manage these projects
- Graduation in a science field such as earth science, physics, mathematics, or related fields like actuarial, finance, or statistical studies
- 3+ years' experience in (re)insurance working in an analytical role focusing on catastrophe modelling/management
- Strong experience in AIR, RMS, and CoreLogic catastrophe modelling platforms, operating and interpretation
- Strong computer skills in MS Office suites (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Experience in using Microsoft SQL preferred
- Experience in programming or scripting preferred
- GIS experience (ArcMap) preferred
- Ability to travel within the Asia region to facilitate client presentations, seminars, and conferences
