Solar PV Systems Design Professional

Job Summary:

As a skilled Solar PV Systems Designer, you will be responsible for designing, installing, and project managing solar photovoltaic systems. Your primary goal will be to ensure the successful completion of projects within budget constraints.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive PV system designs, including site assessments, layout preparation, and permitting.
  • Lead project teams to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Supervise workers and contractors on-site and collaborate with clients and stakeholders to meet project objectives.
  • Provide technical expertise in assessing sites, conducting detailed drawings, and estimating solar project capacity and costs.
  • Oversee quality control processes to ensure all projects meet industry standards.
  • Liaise with procurement teams to guarantee sufficient and timely material supply.
  • Support the maintenance and troubleshooting of existing solar PV systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum one year experience in solar PV design and engineering for rooftop, ground-mounted, or floating PV systems.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design software, such as AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team player.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage clients and stakeholders.

Key Competencies and Skills:

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in PVSyst, electrical cable sizing, single-line diagram design, and other relevant software tools.
  • Soft Skills: Highly motivated, independent problem-solver, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
