Purchasing Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchaser to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and components to meet our manufacturing needs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing and supply chain management, with experience working in an engineering or precision manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for managing inventory, planning deliveries, and negotiating pricing and lead times with suppliers.

To succeed in this role, you must possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to read and interpret technical drawings. You should also be able to analyze data and make informed decisions to optimize our procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage inventory and plan deliveries.
  • Source and evaluate new suppliers; conduct audits when needed.
  • Review technical drawings and specifications.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and value-added options.
  • Negotiate pricing and lead times to meet customer requirements.
  • Issue purchase orders and monitor progress.
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain or related field (experience optional).
  • Experienced as a purchaser in engineering companies.
  • Ability to read technical drawings preferred.
