The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will oversee the daily operations of the company, ensuring efficiency, quality, and profitability in all operational processes. This includes supply chain management, trading operations, quality assurance, sustainability/compliance, and cross-functional alignment between departments.
- Operational Management
- Drive Operational Excellence and Operational Discipline
- Oversee end-to-end coffee supply chain operations from origin to destination.
- Drive consistent operational standards across entities in the Asia Hub.
- Implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices to improve efficiency and minimize risks.
- Trading & Commercial Support
- Collaborate with commercial teams to align operations with sales strategies, contracts, and client expectations within Asia Hub.
- Monitor execution of physical trades and contracts to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.
- Ensure proper documentation and regulatory compliance for international coffee trade.
- Strategic Execution & Digitalization and Systems
- Translate business goals into operational plans, KPIs, and actionable outcomes.
- Lead operational due diligence and integration for new markets, suppliers, or expansion activities.
- Support digital transformation and automation efforts in trading and logistics processes.
- Financial and Risk Oversight
- Manage operational budgets, cost control, and margin improvement initiatives.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks, including supply disruptions, compliance gaps, or quality issues.
- Team Leadership
- Lead and develop multi-functional operational teams across supply chain management, QA, origin offices, and warehouses.
- Foster a performance-driven, accountable culture with a strong emphasis on collaboration and continuous improvement, ownership, and operational excellence across the region.
- Sustainability and Compliance
- Ensure adherence to sustainability sourcing programs.
- Drive traceability, ESG reporting, and compliance with local and international trading laws.
