Lead Innovation in Mould Design

Are you passionate about mould design and eager to foster creativity? This role demands a strong foundation in mould creation, proactive mindset, and collaborative approach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive improvements and development of base mould designs executed at suppliers.
  • Define and lead process optimization initiatives in the business area (e.g., lead time, cost, quality).
  • Account for specific deliveries and quality of mould designs on the external platform, ensuring scope is met.
  • Act as the 3D/2D review approver for mould designs from the supplier platform.
  • Ensure contractors have necessary capabilities and resources to deliver designs according to external standards.
  • Document learnings from design errors by external contractors.
  • Provide quality data and feedback to contractors using Siemens NX, Teamcenter (PLM), and Classification (Standard Library).
  • Guarantee robust design quality with focus on Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
  • Contribute to future mould standards based on The LEGO Group strategy.
  • Participate in escalations when needed.
  • Offer specialist support to production, mould qualification, and other departments for productivity.

Our Team Success

The Mould Design team delivers mould specifications for new and reordered moulds designed on the external platform. We create over 200 specifications annually, managed using Siemens NX CAD system, Teamcenter (PLM), and Classification (Standard Library).

This position requires an experienced mould designer able to analyze mould-related problems and develop robust solutions.
