Opportunities abound for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Actuary to join our team in a top-tier insurer.

This role is ideal for an actuary who enjoys working at the intersection of data analytics, automation, and actuarial science to drive operational efficiency and improve data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, clean, validate, and analyze large datasets to support pricing, reserving, and risk analysis functions.
  • Design and maintain actuarial models and tools for various lines of business.
  • Develop dashboards and automated reporting to monitor key actuarial metrics.
  • Support experience studies, assumptions development, and forecast modeling.
  • Evaluate existing actuarial workflows to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
  • Design and implement process automation using tools such as Excel VBA, Python, SQL, R, or actuarial software.
  • Collaborate with IT, data engineering, and operations teams to enhance data infrastructure and improve data accessibility.
  • Create and maintain documentation for workflows, procedures, and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field.
  • Progress toward actuarial credentials (ASA/FSA or equivalent); designation preferred.
  • 5+ years of actuarial experience, ideally with exposure to data analytics or operations.
  • Strong technical skills: Excel, SQL, and at least one programming language (Python, R, VBA, etc.).
  • Experience with actuarial software and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
  • Proven ability to optimize and automate workflows or reporting processes.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
