Job Title: Logistics Manager

Description:

  • A senior logistics professional is required to manage a team in an efficient and organized manner. This includes strategic planning, resource allocation, and supervising operations.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in managing warehouses and logistics teams, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and making informed decisions.
  • This role involves overseeing the receipt, storage, distribution, and maintenance of inventory, adhering to all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Maintaining high standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security within the warehouse is also a key responsibility.
  • The manager will be responsible for stock control, reconciliation with data systems, and optimizing workflows to meet business objectives.
  • Key qualifications include proven work experience as a Warehouse Manager, strong knowledge of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills are essential for this role, as well as the ability to lead a team and motivate employees.
  • Familiarity with inventory control, FIFO, and product expiration dates is preferred, as is experience with stock takes.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a Warehouse Manager, preferably in a cold room environment (-18°C) and leading a logistics team.
  • Excellent knowledge of KPIs and their application in a warehouse setting.
