About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to join our Macro team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing thought leadership on portfolio construction, conducting new manager selection and strategy due diligence, and structuring and monitoring existing fund investments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sourcing and performing due diligence on prospective external fund managers, including meeting managers and their teams, conducting reference checks, and performing qualitative and quantitative analysis.
  • Monitoring existing investments, including regular updates with managers, highlighting key matters to the Investment Committee, and re-evaluating original investment thesis.
  • Performing quantitative and qualitative analyses on portfolios, leading discussions on portfolio innovations, and surfacing macro insights to the team and GIC at large.
Requirements
  • More than 10 years of fund allocator experience in macro investing and/or macro capital markets experience.
  • Strong financial modelling and/or programming skills, with excellent analytical ability, strong writing, and communication skills.
  • Highly motivated, intellectually curious, and adept at multi-tasking.
  • Independent thinker who can articulate views well, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong team player who is comfortable fostering new internal and external relationships.
