We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineering Project Manager to join our team at GIM TIAN CIVIL ENGINEERING PTE LTD.

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience and location.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the replacement of bearings in various projects, ensuring that all work is carried out according to engineering standards and safety regulations.

This involves attending daily pre-work meetings, submitting daily and weekly works programmes to the Site Officer (SO), and maintaining accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any deviations from the original plan.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years' relevant experience in civil engineering, rail, and bearing replacement projects, with a degree in Civil Engineering recognised by the Professional Engineers Board (PE Board).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend daily pre-work meetings and submit daily and weekly works programmes to the SO.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any deviations from the original plan.
  • Prepare reports for clients detailing the process and outcomes.
  • Develop a detailed replacement plan, including timelines and resource allocation.
  • Ensure the work area is safe and properly prepared for bearing replacement, including securing necessary permits.
  • Coordinate with other teams to minimise disruption to ongoing operations.
  • Order and manage the procurement of Materials and any necessary tools or equipment.
  • Verify that all materials meet the required specifications and standards.
  • Supervise the work process, ensuring it is carried out according to engineering standards and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with maintenance crews, electricians, and other relevant personnel.
  • Conduct inspections throughout the replacement process to ensure that work is performed to quality standards.
  • Document all inspections and tests performed.
  • Address any issues that arise during the replacement process, providing solutions in real-time.
  • Analyse potential risks and develop contingency plans.
  • Ensure that all systems are fully operational before declaring the job complete.
  • Enforce safety protocols to protect personnel and equipment during the replacement process.
  • Conduct safety briefings and ensure all team members are aware of their responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • At least five (5) years relevant experience in civil engineering, rail, and bearing replacement projects.
  • Degree in Civil Engineering recognised by the PE Board.
