Safety Assurance Professional

This is a key role that involves overseeing and implementing comprehensive safety strategies to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies. The primary responsibility is to conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and mitigate risks.

  • Develop and implement effective safety protocols, procedures, and guidelines to ensure worker safety and well-being.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for staff and contractors on safety best practices, hazard identification, and mitigation techniques.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, clients, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, near-misses, and hazards, and provide timely reports to management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the site management team to develop and implement proactive safety initiatives that promote a culture of safety awareness and responsibility.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in occupational health and safety, and apply this knowledge to improve existing safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements
  • Degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a safety-related role, preferably in the construction, manufacturing, or rail industries.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Able to work under pressure, think critically, and make sound judgments in high-pressure situations.
