Research Scientist Position

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and talented Research Scientist to join our team at the National University of Singapore.

We are seeking a skilled individual to contribute to an innovative research programme in robotics and metal additive manufacturing. The successful candidate will have a strong background in robotics, additive manufacturing, or a closely related field and excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • The position involves assisting in designing and leading the commissioning of a new metal additive manufacturing laboratory, conducting novel research in robotic manufacturing, printing process monitoring/optimisation, and construction automation.
  • Disseminate research findings through journal papers and conference presentations, supporting PhD student supervision and teaching activities.
Essential Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A PhD in robotics, additive manufacturing, or a closely related field.
  • A strong portfolio of research publications.
  • Proficiency in programming and additive manufacturing software.
  • Ability to integrate sensors for process monitoring.
Desired Skills and Qualifications

We also welcome applicants with hands-on experience with metal additive manufacturing, technical knowledge of arc welding, and knowledge and skills in AI.
