Maintenance Supervisor Job Description
  • The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of industrial equipment, machinery, and facilities. This includes planning, coordinating, and executing maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect facilities periodically to identify potential problems and determine necessary maintenance tasks.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and allocate work to maintenance technicians based on priority, skill level, and workload.
  • Inspect and maintain building systems, including equipment, facilities, machines, and tools.
  • Schedule and assign work to maintenance technicians and evaluate their performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures, protocols, and policies to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
  • Manage spare parts inventory, vendor contracts, and supplier relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective replacement of worn-out parts and equipment.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including engineering, production, and quality control, to identify and resolve maintenance-related issues that impact plant productivity and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and repair costs to identify trends, track performance, and forecast future maintenance needs.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role in an industrial environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and coach team members to achieve performance goals.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, machinery, and facilities.
  • Sound understanding of maintenance techniques, tools, and principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Proficient in the use of maintenance management software, computer systems, and MS Office applications.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in maintenance processes and procedures.

This position requires a skilled and experienced individual who can lead a team of maintenance technicians and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
