Job Description:
A leading Wholesale Bank is seeking a Deputy Head of Risk to manage credit risk analysis and provide oversight in Operational Risk across the Singapore Branch. The successful candidate will undertake critical analysis of credit applications, attend to ad-hoc transactions, and work closely with the Wholesale Banking Department to ensure timely submission of credit reviews.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough credit risk assessments of large corporate clients and provide recommendations to the Head of Risk/Credit Committee.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks associated with transactions and ensure robust implementation of approval conditions.
- Work with Relationship Managers to structure transactions that meet the Bank's credit policy and risk appetite.
- Participate in customer due diligence/visits and provide guidance on risk management best practices.
- Collaborate with the Wholesale Banking Department to minimize overdue reviews and ensure timely reporting of credit reviews.
- Assist the Head of Risk in operational risk management, including monthly reporting and NPA sign-offs from an ORM perspective.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 15 years' experience in credit risk management in corporate banking with strong knowledge of structured trade finance.
- Proven track record of analyzing and providing strong credit risk analysis recommendations across large corporates in the region.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to develop strong relationships with front office teams.
- Fluency in Mandarin language is essential.
