The strategies we create help our clients maintain liquidity while maximizing yields, transact in foreign currency and across borders, and manage fluctuating expenses or cash flow.
We are uniquely positioned to assist our clients in meeting their banking needs globally through our extensive network.The Investment Counselor plays a strategic role in staying up-to-date with market developments within their own field and the business. They are recognized as experts in investment products and market trends within the business.
To be effective in this role, the Investment Counselor must communicate and disseminate market views both internally and externally to clients.
The IC is also expected to develop investment proposals that best meet client needs.Responsibilities
Working closely with Relationship Managers, the Investment Counselor manages investment relationships and delivers our Chief Investment Officer's views to our wealth clients.
The IC serves as one of the primary client contacts and trusted investment advisor for clients, including direct selling, determining suitability, identifying product-specific opportunities, portfolio advice, and after-sales execution.
Works closely with Market Managers and supports Relationship Managers primarily serving clients in Onshore Singapore.Partners with Relationship Managers to grow existing clients' share of wallet and win a greater percentage of high net worth prospects by focusing on delivering quality solutions that meet individual client needs.
Educates sales professionals on product solutions, creates customized proposals for high net worth clients, and accompanies sales professionals to deliver solutions in client meetings.
Collaborates with colleagues to provide complete advice and wealth solutions to clients.Leverages specialists and wholesalers to provide subject matter expertise where necessary and presents or co-presents at client events.
Provides a high level of communication and customer service to sales professionals and their clients.
Accountable for product revenue goals and penetration goals.

Appropriately assesses risk when making business decisions, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications6-10 years of experience in investment product sales required. Broad understanding of financial services, product solutions, and all aspects of financial planning strategies and concepts.
Client-centric skills, including excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Specific licensing may be required. Education Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred.-
