The ideal candidate will possess a proven and diverse portfolio of transferable clients worldwide, along with an in-depth understanding of the global bunkering market. They will be responsible for conducting daily back-to-back bunker trading, locating, developing, and managing a personal client portfolio, handling end-to-end trade cycles, and collaborating with international offices on inquiries, supply coordination, and client servicing.
- Conduct daily back-to-back bunker trading.
- Locate, develop, and manage a personal client portfolio, including ship owners, operators, and charterers.
- Handle end-to-end trade cycle: trading, fixture/post-fixture, delivery, and payment collection.
- Collaborate with international offices on inquiries, supply coordination, and client servicing.
- Drive customer satisfaction by cultivating strong relationships and delivering expert advice on bunker solutions.
- Assist internal teams through port and regional research, vessel tracking, and fuel supply coordination.
- Monitor market trends and supply chain developments to ensure competitive trading performance.
- Support monthly KPIs and assist in reaching team and office targets.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Bunker Trader; ideally 4–6 years.
- A well-established and transferable client portfolio is essential.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Shipping, Oil & Gas, or a related field.
- High proficiency in English; additional languages are advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge of marine fuels, shipping operations, and bunker trading.
- Strong aptitude for numbers, analytical thinking, and negotiation.
- Customer-focused with a proactive and service-oriented mindset.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
