Electrical Design Specialist

The role of an Electrical Design Specialist involves preparing electrical calculations, cost estimates, and technical curves for tender submissions. This includes analyzing design requirements to ensure compliance with relevant industry standards.
Collaboration with clients is key in this position as it involves gathering requirements and providing technical support and specifications throughout the tender lifecycle. Additionally, working with suppliers and contractors to obtain quotes for special accessories and equipment is also a crucial aspect of this role.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or an equivalent qualification. Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, etc., is highly valued. Knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) software, including AutoCAD 2D/3D, is also essential.
In terms of experience, candidates with familiarity with transformer industry standards, such as IEC and IEEE, will be preferred. Furthermore, having knowledge of data analytics/digitalization of workflows is an added advantage. The successful candidate will be required to work on a 1-year contract and should be able to demonstrate their expertise in transformers/power systems.
