Network Infrastructure Specialist Job Description

This role is responsible for ensuring the network infrastructure meets industry standards and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify that network devices comply with established standards and guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot network-related issues and outages in a timely manner.
  • Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies for network systems.
  • Configure and troubleshoot Network Access Control (NAC) solutions to ensure secure access.
  • Assist in planning and executing Govnet equipment installations.
  • Review, optimize, and raise service requests for FW rules according to agency preferences.

Additional Scope Requirements:

  • Collaborate with teams for site surveys and core cable routing matters.
  • Coordinate with facilities to execute core cabling works.
  • Monitor and coordinate with stakeholders for Govnet implementations.
  • Update documentation and SOPs post-implementation.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting services.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving complex network issues.
  • Experience with hardware management and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of DHCP administration and setup.
  • IPS configuration expertise.
  • Strong understanding of routing concepts and protocols.
  • Familiarity with wireless technology and its applications.
  • Ability to set up and configure access control systems.
  • Networking fundamentals knowledge.
  • Experience with firmware updates and installation.
  • Proficiency in cabling installation and management.
  • WAN circuit management expertise.
  • VPN configuration skills.
  • DNS setup and configuration knowledge.
