Job Title:
Kitchen Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Kitchen Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of meals, ensuring that high standards of quality and safety are maintained at all times.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare ingredients by following recipes, slicing, cutting, chopping, mincing, stirring, whipping, and mixing ingredients, adding seasonings, verifying taste, and plating meals.
  2. Complete hot meal preparation by grilling, sautéing, roasting, frying, and boiling ingredients, and assembling and refrigerating cold ingredients.
  3. Adhere to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures, maintain temperature, and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) logs as required, and maintain appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all food items.
  4. Contribute to daily, holiday, and theme menus in collaboration with supervisor.
  5. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, food storage, and work areas.
  6. Complete cleaning according to daily and weekly schedules and dishwashing/pot washing.
  7. Listen to customer complaints and suggestions, and resolve complaints.
  8. Implement suggestions within parameters of position and refer more complex concerns to supervisor.
  9. Participate in and/or contribute to programs, committees, or projects designed to improve quality of service and employee productivity.
  10. Maintain clean work areas, utensils, and equipment.
  11. Develop new menu items while improvising existing ones.
  12. Maintain and manage kitchen expenses, food cost, inventory, and staffing within budgetary limits.
  13. Able to cook north Indian food.
  14. Able to do shift work.
  15. Assist with the preparation of food and serving of all meals to customers.
  16. Supervise a team to ensure that the kitchen and service areas are clean and tidy.
  17. Ensure all food and health and safety regulations are followed.
