Enterprise Integration Specialist

MuleSoft Architect

We are seeking an experienced architect to lead our integration strategy, working closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to design and implement scalable and robust technical solutions using Mulesoft's Anypoint Platform.

This role involves developing end-to-end integration solutions, including APIs, microservices, messaging, and enterprise service buses (ESBs), as well as defining and implementing API strategies, ensuring best practices for API design, governance, security, versioning, and documentation.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for monitoring and optimizing the performance of integrations and APIs, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and low latency, while guiding and mentoring junior architects and developers in promoting Mulesoft best practices and coding standards.

In addition, the candidate will leverage cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) in combination with Mulesoft to design and implement scalable cloud-based integration solutions, implement DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing for Mulesoft-based integration projects, and ensure all integrations comply with organizational policies, data protection regulations, and security standards.

• Develop integration strategies that align with business goals, IT landscape, and industry best practices.
• Design end-to-end integration solutions using Mulesoft's Anypoint Platform.
• Define and implement API strategies, ensuring best practices for API design, governance, security, versioning, and documentation.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of integrations and APIs.
• Guide and mentor junior architects and developers.
• Leverage cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) in combination with Mulesoft to design and implement scalable cloud-based integration solutions.
• Implement DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing for Mulesoft-based integration projects.
• Evaluate and apply emerging technologies to advance integration architecture.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced individual with a strong background in enterprise architecture, specifically in integration solutions, APIs, and Mulesoft. The ideal candidate should have:

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, with a focus on integration solutions, APIs, and Mulesoft.
• Strong experience with Mulesoft Anypoint Platform, including Anypoint Studio, Anypoint Exchange, Anypoint Connectors, and API Manager.
• In-depth knowledge of RESTful API design, SOAP, OAuth, OpenAPI specifications, and API lifecycle management.
• Expertise in integration patterns (e.g., ESB, Messaging, Event-Driven Architectures) and protocols (e.g., JMS, FTP, etc.).
• Solid experience in integrating cloud-native applications (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with on-premises and legacy systems.
• Experience in designing microservices-based architectures and API-driven solutions.
• Proficiency in Java or other programming languages for customization and development within Mulesoft.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab), and automated testing frameworks.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment; familiarity with project management tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with business and technical stakeholders.

Candidates with the following certifications, skills, or experience will be given preference:

• Mulesoft Certified Platform Architect or Mulesoft Certified Integration Architect.
• Familiarity with TOGAF, Zachman, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with other integration tools (e.g., Dell Boomi, IBM Integration stack, Workato, Azure Integration, Google Integration).
