We are seeking a seasoned General Manager to lead our construction projects and drive business growth at JOYDOM ENGINEERING PTE. LTD.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing project execution from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget. They will also establish policies, procedures, and standards to ensure operational efficiency, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive business growth through strategic planning and market analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Execution: Provide strategic leadership and oversee the execution of construction projects from inception to completion.
  2. Financial Management: Manage budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  3. Operational Efficiency: Establish and implement policies, procedures, and standards to ensure operational efficiency.
  4. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies, to ensure project success.
  5. Business Growth: Drive business growth through strategic planning, market analysis, and identifying new opportunities.
  6. Risk Management: Lead tendering, contract negotiations, and risk management activities.
  7. Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, construction laws, and environmental standards.
  8. Performance Monitoring: Monitor project progress through regular site visits and performance evaluations.
  9. Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on operational and financial performance for the board and other stakeholders.
  10. Talent Development: Mentor and guide senior management and project teams to achieve organizational goals.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a minimum of a Diploma in Construction Management, Interior Design or a related field, with at least 10 years of working experience in the construction industry. Additionally, you should have at least 4 years of experience as a General Manager in a construction company, with proven leadership and team management capabilities.

You should also have strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, as well as in-depth knowledge of construction laws, safety standards, and industry best practices. Proficiency in project management tools, financial management, and tendering processes is also essential.

What We Offer

As a Strategic Construction Project Director at JOYDOM ENGINEERING PTE. LTD., you can expect a competitive salary of SGD $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications.
