Power Plant Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Power Plant Supervisor to join our team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the safe operation and maintenance of power plants, ensuring that all equipment is in good working condition and that safety protocols are followed at all times.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has experience in supervising power plant operations and wants to take on new challenges and responsibilities. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as a strong background in electrical engineering or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise power plant operations, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and operated safely
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure that power plant operations meet organizational goals and objectives
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve power plant efficiency and reduce costs
  • Train and mentor junior staff members to develop their skills and knowledge
  • Monitor and report on power plant performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in power plant operations, including supervisory experience
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Strong background in electrical engineering or a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience with remote logistics operations
  • Experience with Caterpillar documentation and software (ET, SIS)
  • Training, certification, or experience with Caterpillar 3500/3600 series engines
Physical and/or Other Requirements:
  • Ability to deploy to Antarctica for extended periods
  • Successful completion of medical and dental examinations required by the NSF for deployment to Antarctica
  • Valid driver's license issued in the United States
