Senior Cybersecurity Strategist Role Overview

The Chief Information Security Officer is a pivotal position in ensuring the cybersecurity posture of an organization. This role involves leading the agency's cybersecurity function, driving digital transformation initiatives while maintaining the resilience of agency systems.

  • Develop and implement agency-wide cybersecurity strategies to ensure continuous alignment with business objectives.
  • Conduct risk management through threat-based assessments, risk mitigation plans, and ongoing monitoring and reporting.
  • Collaborate with project teams to endorse and provide consultation on risk management and mitigation plans.
  • Maintain oversight and visibility into ICT assets, security architectures, and cybersecurity operations code of practices to enhance the agency's security posture.
  • Create and maintain incident response plans and playbooks, including designing, conducting, and planning security incident response workshops and exercises.
  • Lead investigations and manage ICT security incidents effectively.
  • Provide advisory services on suitable cybersecurity technologies that align with business requirements and industry best practices.
  • Evaluate and ensure secure by design ICT product development and compliance with defined security policies, standards, and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is necessary.
  • No less than 8 years of experience in information security management/officer roles, with expertise in ICT operations, security policies, business processes, and their relationships.
  • Proficiency in areas such as Cybersecurity Governance frameworks, Security Operations, Architecture design, Threat Risk Assessment, and Security Testing is required.
